Special Notices – Infection Control and Preventive Measures Immediate Effect



The World Health Organization has declared COVID-2019 a pandemic. It has become a global public health emergency. In response to this situation, the following infection control and preventive measures are implemented by Hong Kong Assistance Reproduction Centre (the Centre) with immediate effect:

  1. The Centre only allows patients with booked appointments and their accompanying persons to enter. Any patients with no appointments and other visitors will not be accepted. To avoid overcrowding of the Centre, only one accompanying person for each patient is allowed. Persons under the age of 18 or over the age of 65 are not allowed to enter.

  2. All patients or accompanying persons must declare and sign a health declaration on entry into the Centre. The following questions will be asked:

    Q1. Any fever,

    Q2. Any respiratory symptoms (cough or shortness of breath),

    Q3. Undergoing COVID-2019 test or medical surveillance,

    Q4. Any travel history within 14 days, (including persons who are exempted from compulsory quarantine)

    Q5. Any contact with:.

    • suspected COVID-2019 cases,

    • confirmed COVID-2019 cases,

    • person who is undergoing COVID-2019 test,

    • person who is undergoing medical surveillance.

    Anyone with a positive answer to these questions will have their appointments rescheduled. Anyone who refuses to sign the Health Declaration Record will not be allowed to enter the Centre.

  3. All patients and visitors must have their body temperature checked and must clean their hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizer provided at the registration desk.

  4. All patients and visitors must always wear their own surgical mask inside the Centre. The Centre will not provide surgical masks. Anyone with no mask will not be allowed to enter the Centre.
